eBay USB Flight simulator review

Recently someone asked me: what flight simulator should I buy for under $20?

At first I didn’t think there was such a thing, but then after looking on eBay, I found this ebay USB flight simulator cable pack for only $13 and decided to check it out.

In the box it comes with a USB communication dongle, a trainer cord (which connects from the USB dongle to your transmitter), three adapters for connecting to various transmitters and three CDs which have a bunch of different flight simulators on them. One thing to keep in mind is that the software on these CDs is not genuine, so it may or may not work depending on what software you’re trying to install. I recommend using the PhoenixRC simulator software, because it’s very realistic and has free updates. All of the software on these CDs require windows, but you can run windows on Mac using parallels and it works just fine.

So to get it to work, all you have to do is install the software you want, plug in the USB dongle, move the switch to the simulator software that you’re using, then plug the cord into trainer port on the back of your transmitter (if you’re using the Turnigy 9X, make sure to unplug the transmitter module).

So in general, even if you don’t use the software on the CDs, the USB dongle and all of the adapters that come with the set are very useful. If you don’t have a huge budget, I would definitely recommend trying this product out. So theeBay USB Flight simulator is good!
