IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR, WHERE YOU WANT TO BUY EVERYTHING IN SIGHT (INCLUDING DRONES).

I know you’re probably going to be seeing a ton of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals soon, but that’s not why you’re here. You’re here because in the back of your head, you know that most Black Friday deals are myths. So here’s 3 reasons why you shouldn’t buy a drone on Black Friday. Oh, and if you still want to buy after reading this, we’ll be posting the best 2015 Black Friday drone deals we can find!

A LOT OF DRONE DEALS AREN’T REALLY DEALS

One problem with buying drones on Black Friday, is that a lot of companies will make it seem like the original price was way higher than the sale price. In most cases the difference between the sale price in the “real” original price is not very big (if there’s even a difference at all). However, this year drones have become a much more popular subject, so we’re expecting to see a lot more real deals than we did in 2014.

YOU’RE FORCED TO MAKE A FAST DECISION

Another problem with buying drones on Black Friday is that you’re forced to buy a drone “now”, when just a few days ago you probably weren’t even thinking about buying anything. I know it’s tempting to go out and buy something that’s on sale, but drones are expensive, so take your time. One of the biggest mistakes people make when buying a drone is when they see a model on sale and don’t realize that there are other variations of the same model that might be a much better choice.

YOU’LL PROBABLY BE BUYING LAST YEARS MODEL

The last problem with buying drones on sale is that most of the products are usually drones that have been on the market for a while. Usually they’re models that have an updated version coming out soon (or already available).

One example of this is with the Phantom 2.  There’s a chance that you might see some big sales on the Phantom 2 this year, but there’s a massive difference in the capabilities of a Phantom 2 and the newer Phantom 3. For more info on the deferent Phantom models, check out this article.

HERE’S SOME DEALS YOU MIGHT FIND USEFUL

If you do plan on buying a drone this weekend, make sure it’s a drone you actually want, not just something you saw an add for. That being said, if there’s any good deals that pop up, I’ll post them in this article. Here are some of the deals I’ve seen so far.

Right now, since Black friday 2015 is still a few weeks away, there aren’t many confirmed sales, but we do know that DJI will be having some good drone deals to look out for.
