Today DJI announced the Phantom 2 Vision Plus, a major update to their Phantom series of quadcopters.
DJI states that their main objective with this new quadcopter is to design a flying camera system that allows everyone the capacity to fly, and to be able to capture video with a new level of detail, and clarity.
This product is all about the out-of-the-box experience for the consumer. Some of the main differences between this new model and its predecessor is its integrated gimbal with 3 degrees of stabilization, similar to the DJI Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal announced a few weeks ago. This basically means a very smooth and stable video shot, especially when doing slow back and forth panning shots.
With this new Phantom, just add your smartphone, and you have a complete aerial photography platform to video your next action adventure, or epic vacation.
Over the next few days, we’ll post a more detailed comprehensive comparison between this new model compared to the Phantom 2 with the Zenmuse H3-3D and also what our thoughts are on the Vision Plus camera vs a GoPro HERO3+.
